Directbuy of Brooklyn and Queens Promotes Goode, Mohamed and Spilke

BROOKLYN, QUEENS, WOODSIDE, NEW YORK CITY, NY…

DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens, the leading members-only showroom and home design center that offers merchandise at manufacturer-direct prices, recently promoted three of its employees: Shameka Goode, Sabina Mohamed and Lisa Spilke.

Goode, a Brooklyn resident, was promoted from Service Manager to Warehouse Manager for both DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens and DirectBuy of Manhattan. A graduate of Katherine Gibbs and a U.S. Navy veteran, she began with DirectBuy in 2004 as a Member Services Representative.

Mohamed, born in Guyana and currently a Queens resident, was promoted to Showroom Manager. She began with DirectBuy in 2003 as a Member Services Representative.

Spilke, a Forest Hills resident, was promoted to Showroom Supervisor. A graduate of Queens College, she began with DirectBuy in 2006 as Member Services Representative.

“During tough economic times, the level of service you provide your customer base is more critical than ever. Shameka, Sabena and Lisa are true professionals and their commitment to providing the kind of superior service that retains current members and attracts new ones is exemplary. All three are most deserving of their promotions,” said Marti Brandt, co-owner of DirectBuy of Brooklyn and Queens.

In addition to their recent promotions, all three women attended DirectBuy’s Summit Conference, honoring top performers from across the entire DirectBuy network. This year’s Summit was held at the El Conquistador Golf Resort and Casino in Puerto Rico at the beginning of June.
